New water point opens in Mozambique

Oasis has installed new water points in several communities in and around Beira, the second largest city in Mozambique. Water points are a part of Oasis' integrated community transformational programmes. Recently a new point was opened in Mungassa and benefits people who were previously drawing water from uncovered wells, with the nearest safe water point being nearly a kilometre away. Local community members who said that previously they would often drink dirty water because of this distance, have expressed deep appreciation for what those of us in the West take for granted - clean, instant on demand water!
